Our studio has conceived and drafted the vision, the creative content and the cultural program of the design dossier for the nomination of the territory that comprises Alba, Bra, Langhe and Roero as Italian Capital of Culture 2026.
The vision upon which the entire design architecture of the event is founded goes beyond the nomination proposal and embraces the idea of constituting a strategic plan that can favor the long-term development of the territory, by building a new and “comprehensive” model of cultural management and valorization that considers all the peculiarities of the territory.
What the territory of Alba, Bra, Langhe and Roero has demonstrated in its recent history is the predisposition to recognize and collect the “fruits” of its own land to develop a flourishing culture, economy and identity. The project aims precisely at drawing on the various intelligences that have shaped and that keep on forging today the territory (i.e. artisanal, artistic, entrepreneurial, immaterial), re-elaborating them in a contemporary way: a plan of performative events, expositive activities and educational and research and development initiatives that recovers, evokes and valorizes the patrimonies of Alba, Bra, Langhe and Roero.
On December 13th, the Italian Ministry of Culture disclosed the list of the ten finalist projects for the nomination as Italian Capital of Culture 2026. Among these, our project was included.
The next appointment will be at the beginning of March with the public hearings where the ten selected projects will be presented in detail.
